The Design And Research Of Coal Miner Overalls Based On Modular Concept

With the continuous development of the coal industry,coal mining enterprises have significantly improved in terms of production facilities,underground operating environment and professional quality of practitioners.At the same time,the society is attaching more attention to the production safety of employees in coal mines and enhancement of their professional identity.Clothing,which is called the “second skin”,plays a crucial role of protection and decoration.Underground coal mine operators are facing a complex working environment,and coal miner overalls are one of the important barriers to ensure their safe operation.However,the current coal mine underground work clothes have a single style,consequently,there is a certain room for its improvement,such as comfort,functionality and protection.With the continuous emergence of new technologies in the apparel industry,innovative and improved designs for coal miner overalls have become possible.In the design of coal miner overalls,it is necessary to fully understand the related underground conditions,such as working environment,job distribution,and operation characteristics.The safety protection function should be put first in the design process.On this basis,efforts should also be made to improve its comfort,practicality and aesthetics.By analyzing the design requirements and purposes,the designer decides to adopt the modular concept,and the clothing design guided by this concept enjoys the advantages of flexibility and efficiency.The design and research involve the following four parts.The first part mainly introduces the research background,purpose and significance of the subject,discusses the development status of this subject at home and abroad through inductive materials,and further clarifies the innovation and difficulties in the design and research process of coal mine underground service uniforms.The second part first provide an overview of the coal mine industry,and an analysis of the coal mine workwear market and its current development both at home and abroad.Through field investigations on coal mines,this thesis systematically analyzes the actual situation of coal mine underground operations.Additionally,from the perspective of operating environment,working characteristics and body structure changes during the operation,the design elements are summarized.Owing to new approaches that modular concept provided in this field,the third part focuses on the modular design concept.Accordingly,it discusses modular design principles,advantages and their intended purpose.By analyzing the application cases of modular design in clothing,this thesis further clarifies the meaning,design process and production process of modular clothing.The fourth part starts from the dimensions of structural design,color matching,material selection,etc.in order to accomplish a practical modular design research based on modular concept.Furthermore,considering the specific situations found in the survey,this design is customized by different work types,that is,the clothing of front-line workers,safety testing workers and operating workers.By summarizing the actual needs of underground workers for overalls,this design modularized the style,fabric and color of work clothes.This paper takes coal miner overalls as the research subject.Starting from the actual environment of underground work,it fully considers the specific needs of coal mine underground workers,and conducts in-depth design and research on the modular design of coal miner overalls.Under the guidance of the modular concept,a number of improved and innovative designs have been realized.This study is hoped to enrich the design theory research of coal mine underground work clothes,and provide guidelines for the design practice in related fields.
