The Impact Of International And Interregional Openess On The Green Economic Growth Quality In Guanzhong Urban Agglomeration

Economic growth quality based on the concept of green development has becoming the core pursuit of contemporary economic entities.Green economic growth quality mainly depends on the improvement of technical progress and technical efficiency which can be achieved by spillover effects of technology or knowledge involved in international trade and investment activities,or by competition effect due to interregional economic interaction.Therefore,from the perspective of green growth,it is of great significance to study the impact of international and interregional openness on the high-quality growth of regional economy.The Guanzhong Urban Agglomeration(GUA),a typical inland one,is selected as the research object in this paper.First,related economic theories including international trade,investment and regional economic growth theory are summarized.Then,this paper proposes mechanism of international and interregional openness on economic growth.After that,three index methods including modified international openness index,market segmentation index and DEA-ML index are adopted respectively to measure international openness,interregional openness and green economic growth quality.After that,this paper analyzes the evolution of the three in the GUA based on the measurement results.Finally,the panel regression model is constructed to test the impact of interregional,international openness and their interaction on regional green economic growth quality.Meanwhile,the quality of green economic growth is decomposed into green technological efficiency and green technological progress so that to test the impact of explanatory variables on them.The results show that:(1)2006-2018,the international openness of the GUA fluctuated with obvious characteristics of period,while the interregional openness presents a significant upward trend.(2)During the sample period,the quality of green economic growth continues to decline,and the decreasing rate shows a changing feature by periods.(3)The quality of economic growth of the GUA depends on the improvement of technological efficiency as well as being constrained by technological progress.(4)Both international and interregional openness promote green economic growth quality,but the difference lies in that the former promotes the quality of economic growth by increasing green technological efficiency while the latter by enhancing green technological level.(5)There is an alternative effect between international and interregional openness,which means that the higher interregional openness a city in the GUA has,the weaker impact of its international openness has on green economic growth.(6)In addition,human capital has always been an important driving force for the high-quality growth of regional green economy.The government intervention and informatization level present duality in that both of them have negative effect on technological efficiency and positive influence on technological progress.On the contrary,the financial development level of the GUA has negative effect on high-quality growth of regional green economy.
