| With the rapid economic growth of Beijing,Tianjin and Hebei,the contradiction between environment and economic growth has become increasingly prominent.As an important driving force for the nation economic development,the economic development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei has been seriously restricted.The coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei is a major national strategy.Priority should be given to major breakthroughs in environmental protection in which the "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Collaborative Development Program" clearly emphasizes.Environmental pollution has become the most urgent problem to be solved.General Secretary Xi Jinping once pointed out: creating a beautiful environment is to ensure that the general public is the most popular and well-being;improving environmental quality means improving productivity.Therefore,it is undoubtedly of great practical significance to explore the relationship between environmental pollution and economic growth in Beijing,Tianjin and Hebei.According to the inverted "U" hypothesis theory the environmental K uznets curve(EKC),it is mainly driven by three factors-industrial structure,technological progress,government regulation.Three environmental pressure indicators(industrial wastewater,industrial sulfur dioxide,industrial soot)and economic growth indicators(per capita GDP)were selected,The models of fixed-effect and stochastic trend were established based on the 2004-2017 datas of 13 cities in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.The STATA software is used to fit the shape of the relationship between environmental pollution and economic growth with using the least squares method,and the per capita GDP value of the inflection point of the relationship curve is predicted.The influencing factors of the environmental Kuznets curve are analyzed from the perspectives of industrial structure,scientific and technological progress and government policies.Finally,it proposes to speed up the industrial transformation of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei,technological innovation and the formulation of environmental protection policies.The conclusions are as follows: only one of the three pollution indicators in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region(industrial sulfur dioxide)is inverted "U" type,and the other two indicators are "N " type(industrial wastewater)and inverted "N " type(industrial)Soot);After adding a specific time trend variable,the regression results also indicate that high pollution is not necessarily caused by economic growth.Through industrial transformation or technological progress,Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei is entirely possible to achieve "The development of green type;Most cities in Beijing,Tianjin and Hebei are still in the "difficult" stage.In order to ultimately achieve the goal of reducing environmental pollution,the government still needs to further increase the intensity of environmental pollution control,adopt necessary market-oriented environmental protectio n policies and regulations. |
