Since the reform and opening up,China has focused on economic construction,rapid economic and social development,and greatly improved the people ’s material life.However,at the same time,the treatment of the relationship between environmental protection and economic growth has been slightly more extensive,in exchange for economic damage at the cost of environmental damage and resource consumption The increase in environmental protection has led to increasingly serious environmental and resource issues.As China’s capital,Beijing’s rapid economic development has increasingly highlighted environmental and resource issues.With the sharp increase in the scale of construction,the continuous expansion of industrial areas,the rapid increase in road vehicles,the continuous increase in the population of the city,and the increase in the amount of coal burned therefrom,these concurrent problems have exacerbated the trend of air pollution in Beijing.It is Beijing that has been plagued by "smoggy weather" in recent years.This situation greatly harms the people’s health,and also hinders economic development,causing a severe nauseous cycle and not conducive to sustainable economic development.The research in this article is as follows:First of all,based on macro data,the current situation of Beijing’s economic development and environmental quality is analyzed.It is found that Beijing’s economy is growing rapidly,regional GDP and per capita GDP are on a rising trend,and the three industrial structures are also increasing.More reasonable than before,the contribution rate of the tertiary industry to GDP gradually surpassed that of the secondary industry,ranking first.In terms of environmental quality,the current status of environmental problems in Beijing is:traditional industrial pollution has been initially controlled,but domestic pollution The problem is becoming more prominent,and the overall situation of environmental problems is still very serious.Beijing is under tremendous pressure on environmental governance,and it is very urgent to control regional environmental pollution and strengthen ecological construction.Secondly,based on the literature and data,further analysis of the problems existing in the coordinated development of Beijing’s economic growth and environmental quality,mainly including population issues,severe ageing,uneven population distribution and severe separation between employment and housing;environment Pollution and life pollution are serious problems,mainly including air pollution,water pollution,and land pollution.Resource problems are mainly shortages of water resources,land and energy resources,and pollution.Furthermore,an empirical study was conducted on the relationship between Beijing’s economic growth and environmental quality.Beijing’s regional GDP,total industrial wastewater pollution,total industrial solid waste emissions,and total industrial sulfur dioxide emissions were selected from 2001 to 2017.Volume and the total amount of industrial dust flake emissions,taking the regional production value as an economic indicator,conducting a principal component analysis on the four major total pollutant emissions to generate an environmental quality indicator,and then conducting a Granger causality test on the economic indicator and environmental quality indicator,found that Based on the causal relationship between economic growth and environmental quality,the Kuznets curve was fitted to Beijing’s environmental quality indicators and economic growth indicators.Under the cubic equation,the ideal results were obtained.The relationship between the environment shows an "inverted N-shaped curve",which indicates that the economic damage to Beijing in the early stage of economic development was more serious,but with the further development of the economy and the enhancement of environmental protection awareness,pollution has been controlled to a certain extent,even though the government or society is involved in related production.The output is well controlled,but the restrictive degree of the policy under the expansion of the economy is often Limit,so the medium-term and there was a certain degree of rebound,and finally with the economic development and social progress,optimize and upgrade the industrial structure,the degree of pollution will gradually reduce,and well controlled.Finally,according to the analysis results above,countermeasures and suggestions are proposed for the coordinated development of environmental quality and economic growth in Beijing:1.Promote the continuous optimization and upgrading of the industrial structure,and play a positive role of the rationalized industrial structure in environmental protection;2.Vigorous governance Environmental pollution,encourage the whole society to participate in protecting the environment;3.Improve the structure of energy use and vigorously develop new technologies.
