Research On Environmental Effects And Influencing Factors Of China’s Textile And Clothing Export

With the gradual expansion of greenhouse gas emissions,the problem of global warming is becoming more and more difficult,and environmental and climate issues have become the focus of the international community.As one of China’s most export-competitive industries,textile and apparel consumes a lot of energy while expanding employment and increasing trade surplus,causing serious pollution problems.As the world’s largest carbon-emitting country,China bears a very important responsibility for reducing emissions.As the pillar industry of China’s export trade,textile and apparel can not be underestimated.The study of the environmental effects and influencing factors of China’s textile and apparel exports has important guiding significance for China’s energy conservation,emission reduction and green development.This article first analyzes the development status and environmental behavior of China’s textile and apparel,and then uses the input-output method to measure the hidden carbon changes in China’s textile and apparel trade,and uses the SDA index decomposition method to calculate the environmental effects by industry.The study found that in terms of technological effects,the reduction of carbon emission intensity has a suppressive effect on hidden carbon emissions in various industries;in terms of structural effects,the four differential results of the three industries all show a state of positive to negative,indicating the input structure It tends to be reasonable;in terms of scale effect,the four-time difference results of all industries are positive,indicating that the export scale has a pulling effect on hidden carbon emissions.In terms of different industries,the six industries with the highest carbon contribution to the textile and apparel export trade are all textile and apparel related industries.In this paper,the results of SDA structure decomposition are put forward to optimize the environmental effects of textile and apparel for six major industries.Propose specific measures in terms of technology,structure,and scale to improve China’s environmental quality.
