Research On Designer’s Behavior Intention Of Implementing Construction Waste Minimization Design

Most of China’s construction waste is mainly stacked and landfilled,which has caused great damage to the environment.Therefore,it is imminent to find an effective method for the disposal of construction waste.As an important means of reducing construction waste,minimization has gradually attracted attention.But at present,most of its research focuses on the external environment,such as policy,technology,management methods,etc.,and there is less discussion on the subject’s behavioral awareness.The design phase in the early stage of the project is the main source of construction waste in the subsequent construction and other stages.As the main body of design,the designer’s scheme design directly affects the generation and discharge of construction waste in the subsequent stage.However,designers have limited knowledge of design minimization,and the role of their design awareness in the process of building waste minimization has received insufficient attention in the current Chinese construction industry.This study takes the construction waste minimization and the theory of standardized activation as the research basis,analyzes the main influencing factors of the designer’s construction waste minimization design,and establishes a minimization design motivation model based on the role of the factors.Then,a questionnaire for reducing behavioral awareness was designed by literature method.Secondly,based on the model,use SPSS and AMOS software to process the data,verify the previously hypothesized model,and analyze the action path and significance of each influencing factor.The research results show that:(1)the perception of the results is subject to the individual’s ecological worldview,and this value makes people have a positive perception of adverse consequences.(2)The designer’s behavioral intention to reduce design is a combination of personal norm,behavioral attitudes,perceived behavioral control,and subjective norms.Personal norm have the greatest influence on the intention of waste minimization design behavior.Designers follow the inherent moral responsibility to establish personal norm for reducing design.(3)The designers have a good attitude towards the implementation of design minimizations,the protection of external social culture,government laws and other environments,and the designers feel that their surrounding colleagues,enterprises and industries have corresponding support for building minimizations.Technology and management level will also promote designers to implement reduced design behavior.Based on this,this article can make relevant suggestions from four aspects: promoting the establishment of personal norm for designers,enhancing their subjective normative perception and control of perceived behavior,and firmly holding the positive attitude of waste minimization design.The study explores the behavioral factors and role relationships of designers in implementing waste minimization design,enriches the theoretical research of waste minimization,and helps to formulate relevant laws,regulations and measures in a targeted manner.
