Research On The Motivation,path And Performance Of The Integration Of Zhongtai Chemical Industrial Chain

China is currently the world’s largest country in chlor-alkali industry,but the industry as a whole has irrational expansion in the process of development: on the one hand,the chlor-alkali industry has a low concentration degree of market,disorderly competition in the market makes the benefit of enterprises decline,and the simple "chlor-alkali +PVC" development model can no longer support the economic growth of enterprises.On the other hand,the product of structural surplus,increasing strengthened resource and energy constraints and so many safety and environmental protection policies force the whole industry to carry out in-depth transformation,upgrading and structural adjustment.The integration of industrial chain is not only conducive to improving the competitiveness of products and enterprises,occupying advantages in the industry,but also to cope with the impact and competition from the international market and transnational groups,so as to achieve integration benefits and achieve long-term development.Therefore,the industry chain integration of chlor-alkali industry is worth further study.This paper adopts the method of case study to select Zhongtai chemical,a chlor-alkali enterprise that takes the lead in completing the integration of industrial chain,to conduct an in-depth study on the integration of industrial chain.In this article,I research that the specific motivation and the basis of Zhongtai Chemical’s industrial chain integration,the path of the implementation of the industrial chain integration and in the process of industry chain integration,the change of Zhongtai Chemical’s short-term performance and financial performance and innovation performance.After research,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)From the perspective of motivation,environmental uncertainty,economies of scale,market power,asset specificity,information asymmetry and the demand of enterprise capacity renewal push Zhongtai Chemical to integrate into different directions of the industrial chain,and build a technological innovation system to gain core competitiveness.(2)From the perspective of path,relying on resource advantages and making full use of industrial policies,Zhongtai Chemical expands horizontally and enters into the upstream and downstream through a large amount of investment in self-construction,merger and acquisition,strategic cooperation,etc.(3)In terms of performance,in the process of industrial chain integration,Zhongtai Chemical has good performance in short-term performance,financial performance and innovation performance.Finally,this paper summarizes the enlightenment of industrial integration for other domestic chlor-alkali enterprises from the case of Zhongtai Chemical’s industrial chain integration.
