Atmospheric aerosol refers to a mixture of solid and liquid particles suspended in the atmosphere,which affects the energy budget of the earth-atmosphere system through direct or indirect climatic effects,leading to the corresponding climate change.In 2006,the state formally adopted the strategy of developing the western region,which ushered in the golden period of rapid economic development in the western region.However,due to the relatively backward economic foundation and technological level,the extensive development model in the western region destroyed the local natural environment and led to the unbalance of the ecological environment,in which air pollution has become an important factor affecting the sustainable development of our country.In this paper,the western region(except Inner Mongolia)is taken as the research object,and OMAERUV products are processed by HDF-View,VB programming and Arcgis software.The annual,seasonal and monthly mean of Aerosol lndex(AI)values in the western region are obtained.Based on the annual and seasonal mean values of AI from 2008 to 2017,the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics and changing trends of AI values in Western China and different provinces and municipalities directly under the Central Government are analyzed.In addition,the annual mean values of temperature and precipitation in Western China from 2008 to 2017 are obtained by using MODIS-NDVI data of time series,and the relationship between the spatial and temporal distribution and variation of atmospheric temperature,precipitation and AI values is analyzed.The correlation between AI value and total energy consumption is analyzed in representative provinces of the Ministry.The study found that the AI value in the western region showed a general trend of growth and seasonal variation from 2008 to 2017,with the highest AI value in 2015 and the lowest in 2009,and the highest AI value in winter and spring,and the lowest AI value in summer and autumn.Regionally,AI values are higher in the northwest of the study area and other areas with dense population and high level of economic development.The comparison of AI values between different provinces and municipalities directly under the Central Government shows that the AI values of all provinces and municipalities directly under the Central Government are increasing in the whole research period.The AI values of provinces and municipalities directly under the Central Government are different in season.The AI values of southern provinces in Guangxi,Guizhou and Yunnan are higher in autumn than in spring.The AI values of Gansu,Xinjiang and Qinghai are higher in spring than in autumn.The AI values of all provinces and municipalities directly under the Central Government The AI value is the lowest in summer.In the analysis of influencing factors,natural factors such as annual mean of temperature and precipitation are selected;human footprint and GDP,industrial output value,coal consumption,car ownership and total energy consumption are anthropogenic factors;in natural factors,the correlation between temperature and AI value is generally positive;the correlation between precipitation and AI value is not obvious,and the precipitation and AI value in the northwest region of the study area are positive.Negative correlation may be due to the dominance of dust,carbon and other aerosols in the Northwest region,precipitation has a certain effect on the elimination of such aerosols;in the Southeast region,the elimination of aerosols is not obvious,possibly due to the dominance of moisture absorption and soluble aerosols in the Southeast region.Because of the different types of aerosols and their chemical properties in different regions,the influence of different natural factors on aerosols varies greatly.Among the human factors,AI values of representative provinces in the western region are selected for correlation analysis with GDP,industrial output value,coal consumption,car ownership and total energy consumption.The results show that AI values and the influence factors are all in the same position.There is obvious correlation between coal consumption and coal consumption.
