Study On The Relationship Between The Ecological Urbanization And Economic Growth In Hunan Province

Urbanization is the population to town gathered,in recent years,the urbanization process speed up in hunan province.Urbanization as a double-edged sword,on the one hand,drive the rapid economic development of hunan province,on the other hand,also brought a series of environmental and social problems,the number of city which second air quality standards constantly fluctuate in hunan province,and fell from 14 cities to 7 cites after 2009.The construction of ecological urbanization can effectively solve the destruction of the ecological environment in the urbanization process,pursuit of the maximum harmonious development of social,economic and natural.To explore the relationship between urbanization and economic growth in hunan province,to improve the degree of ecological urbanization development of hunan province,to further promote the development of economy,and promote the coordinated development of both has important significance。This paper choose the hunan province as the research object,base on the sustainable development theory and urban ecological system theory and select the reasonable indicators from three aspects of the social ecology standard,economic ecology standard,natural ecology standard,use the factor analysis method to comprehensive analysis the level of ecological urbanization in hunan province.The empirical results show that the social ecology standard is the leading factor in evaluate the level of ecological urbanization in hunan province,the natural ecology standard and economic ecology standard also have played an important role in a certain extent,the comprehensive level of ecological urbanization in hunan province although at low levels showed a trend of rising.And this paper establish the vector autoregressive model to empirical test the relationship between the ecological urbanization and economic growth in hunan province,and adopts the method of Granger causality to test whether each other between cause and effect.The empirical results show that there exists a significant relationship between the ecological urbanization and economic growth in hunan province but not a causal relationship,ecological urbanization is the Granger cause of economic growth,and economic growth is not the Granger reason of ecological urbanization in hunan province.This paper argues that the former economic growth in hunan province is mainly based on the extensive economic growth mode,thus does not produce a more significant impact on the construction of the ecological urbanization.According to the result of empirical analysis,combining with the actual situation of hunan province,puts forward the further development of hunan province ecological urbanization should follow the following four aspects.First,to enhance the level of urban infrastructure,education,medical;Secondly,to change the economic development model from the traditional economic development model to the ecological economy development mode;Then,to strengthen the protection and management of the urban ecological environment and natural environment;Finally,to strengthen the planning,management and decision-making of the government.
