Since the 18 th Party Congress,the concept of cultural self-confidence has been mentioned repeatedly,and Xi Jinping proposed to "enhance cultural self-confidence and value self-confidence" in the 13 th collective study of the Central Political Bureau.In his speech at the conference celebrating the 95 th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China,Xi Jinping explained cultural self-confidence in particular,stating that "cultural self-confidence is a more fundamental,broader and deeper self-confidence".The Dunhuang Apsaras,as a cultural symbol of Chinese characteristics,is not only a genius creation of Chinese artists,but also a miracle in the history of world art.The traditional culture of the Central Plains and the Western culture intermingled at Dunhuang,evolving step by step as the dynasties changed,reflecting the different artistic aesthetics of different eras and showing the evolution of the fusion of the cultures of the Central Plains and the West.Therefore,this paper investigates the modeling and costume art of the Dunhuang frescoes and the decorative patterns of their surrounding flowing ceilings,examining their stylistic features and overall decorative beauty and applying them to modern costume art to provide some reference for future research on the Dunhuang Apsaras and their application in modern costume design.The entire article is divided into four key chapters to analyze the Dunhuang Apsaras and its eventual application in costume design.The first chapter analyzes the stylistic characteristics of the Scattered Flower Flying Apsaras,and then introduces the characteristics of each period from Northern Liang,Northern Wei to Yuan Dynasty,and finally concludes that the two characteristics of the overall image of the Scattered Flower Flying Apsaras are cape belt and scattered flowers.In the second chapter,we analyze the fusion and evolution of the image of the Flying Apsaras,and give some inspiration for the subsequent costume design.The third key chapter presents a case study of the application of the Flying Apsaras image in modern costume design,summarizing the two applications of pattern application and the use of cape belt elements.In the last chapter,we summarize the previous work and apply it to the costume design,and finally produce the finished product.This thesis summarizes and categorizes the overall image of the scattered flower flying Apsaras and its surrounding floral patterns,not only to improve the understanding of the scattered flower flying Apsaras in the image of flying heaven,but also to draw knowledge from the efforts of Dunhuang artists over the millennia,and to inspire the use of foreign elements in design to try to integrate them with Chinese elements,to find their appropriate integration,and ultimately to create new The exhibition also provides an opportunity to learn from the efforts of Dunhuang artists over the millennia.
