| Thes Sunk panels are incomparable treasure in Dunhuang art, which not only conveys ancient people’s yearning for a better life and rich view of the universe, but also be formed by rich and gorgeous design patterns with the breath of history. The rich patterns are also regarded as precious wealth of art. The study researches design patterns and colors of the Tang sunk panels in the Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes, excavating the decorative characteristics and law of coloring of sunk panels in deep and analysing their main patterns and colors in accordance with concrete archaeological record, to come to the conclusion of every period’s main patterns and colors and their characters of the Tang sunk panels in the Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes by analyzing statistics of 215 caves which have Tang sunk panels.Based on the investigation, research, combing, copy of the sunk panel designs, the study explores infinite artistic value of the Tang sunk panels in the Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes.Comparing with other dynasty’s sunk panels, the Tang sunk panels in the Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes are largest in quantities in present existings. By studying and summarizing, we can obviously find that the Tang sunk panels have a variety of heart sunk panel wells and sunk panel edgings with relatively clear change contexts which has the valuable research value as well as the rich thick application value.Based on the investigation, research, combing, copy of the Tang sunk panel arts, the study sums up the process of the development of patterns from the early to the late Tang dynasty.although there is the shadow of the Sui dynasty, the sunk panels in the early Tang dynasty has brought some new ideas, such as grape grains and pomegranate grains, because of more close relationship to the western regions. When the time went to the High Tang period, the mural art of the Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes almost reached the peak of the art history of Dunhuang, enriching the art with more beautiful patterns, which exists as the largest one.In medium and late Tang dynasty period, along with the change in the jurisdiction of dunhuang, dunhuang region and central plains exchanges to a halt, so during this period the design in pattern it is difficult to imagine a new pattern, but sunk panel appeared to bodhisattva, Buddha as the main body of the design style.Coloring regularity of dunhuang mogao grottoes in the Tang dynasty design with Chinese traditional colour system support. In the early period of the tang dynasty, began to change color and lively colors, bright,; More colorful, Ming yan tang period; Tang dynasty period of coloring begins to be solemn and beautiful. Each color style in the period of the change is clear, also can see the whole history of tang dynasty.The Innovation point of this topic is:(1) combing the sunk panels of Tang dynasty witht tables, which makes it more instuitive.(2) analysising the colour and ornamentation of sunk panels during different periods of Tang dynasty.(3) by studying the art of dunhuang mogao grottoes sunk panel, with the modern and contemporary clothing creative design.This topic research process can be divided into the following steps:(1) understanding the dunhuang mogao grottoes with Tang dynasty’s history background and cultural background; (2)having a preliminary understanding of the Tang sunk panels in the Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes by reading a large number of books; (3) through practical investigation more deeply understand the mogao grottoes of dunhuang sunk panel in tang dynasty, through the observation of reality for books to learn the knowledge of selective classification, the pattern and color of dunhuang mogao grottoes in the tang dynasty design through the analysis research, and copying research results are obtained. (4) applying the research results into actual design to make dunhuang style fashion design work. |
