Research On Artistic Characteristics Of Phoenix And Bird Pattern In Mogao Grottoes In Dunhuang And Its Application In Modern Fashion Design

Dunhuang,located in northwest China,was the main transportation route on the ancient Silk Road.Because of its special geographical location,Dunhuang connects ancient eastern and western political,economic,religious,cultural,and artistic exchanges.The art of Dunhuang and Silk Road grottoes has always been the focus of academic research.With the strategic conception of Belt and Road Initiative put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping,Dunhuang culture and art have once again become the focus of the masses.In the field of art research in Dunhuang grottoes,patterns,as an important part of historical and cultural heritage,have high academic research value,while Phoenix pattern,as one of the representatives of Chinese traditional patterns,has unique cultural connotation and artistic charm.Therefore,it is very necessary to study the pattern of Phoenix birds in Dunhuang frescoes as a special topic.This article takes the Phoenix bird pattern in the murals of Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang as the research object,analyzes its formal language characteristics on the basis of systematic and comprehensive collection and arrangement,and applies it flexibly and skillfully to the modern clothing design.First of all,the current research situation of this topic is combed,and the research ideas and directions are specified.Second,explain the related concepts of Phoenix patterns: Origin,mythological story,symbolism;explore the Chinese and foreign cultural factors of Phoenix patterns in Dunhuang murals.Third,through on-the-spot investigation and data induction and collation,collected the Phoenix pattern in Dunhuang murals in each historical period,according to the organization structure form of the Phoenix pattern in the murals to carry on the composition,the color and the modelling aspect form beauty analysis.This paper studies the different decorative characteristics of the Phoenix bird pattern in Dunhuang frescoes,summarizes the artistic characteristics of the Phoenix bird pattern in the Dunhuang frescoes,and provides a reference for the application and innovation of the modern clothing design.Fourthly,according to the style and characteristics of the decorative art of Phoenix pattern in Dunhuang murals,this paper probes into the essence of its design,and the principles that should be followed in modern innovative design of Phoenix pattern,and summarizes the design techniques that can be used for reference in modern garment design,such as the Phoenix pattern and the figure pattern similar to the Phoenix pattern.Finally,through discussing the relevant design cases to explore the field and significance of its application in modern design,and according to the Dunhuang frescoes organized by the author of the Phoenix bird patterns in the shape of color summary table,in view of its modern clothing design in the graphics itself,and in accordance with the author of Dunhuang frescoes in the shape of color summary table,Pattern color,garment structure,the innovation of clothing fabric was enlightened and used for reference.Combining with the above research contents,under the premise of protecting and inheriting Dunhuang culture and art,this paper applies it to modern garment design to demonstrate the practical value of the research content.On the basis of systematic study of the tree pattern of Mogao grottoes in Dunhuang,this paper absorbs nutrition from traditional art,and through the design practice,applies and innovated the artistic features of Phoenix pattern in modern garment design.This paper discusses how to apply the ancient Dunhuang decorative patterns to the present and practice the design innovation of combining the traditional culture with the aesthetic needs of modern life.which is the important research purpose of this subject,and also the achievement of the research topic.
