In the context of consumption upgrading,consumers’ demand for products has gradually shifted from product function and quality demand to product cultural connotation demand.Combine traditional culture with makeup products,enrich the connotation of makeup products,and meet the deep-seated spiritual needs of consumers.However,at present,the integration of traditional culture and makeup products is not high,and there are problems of shoddy manufacturing and homogeneity,and many products cannot be recognized by consumers.With the rise of the national tide and the continuous improvement of consumers’ spiritual needs,it is necessary to conduct in-depth research on the combination of makeup products and traditional culture.This paper mainly explores the combination of zodiac culture and makeup products,and provides new ideas for the application of traditional Chinese culture in product design.Based on product semantics,this paper deeply analyzes the perceptual semantic needs of target users for zodiac makeup products,and on this basis,conducts research on the design of zodiac makeup products.First,through research and analysis of the core perceptual semantic needs of users for makeup products,and then use the semantic difference method to conduct a case study with lipstick products as samples to analyze the mapping relationship between perceptual semantic vocabulary and the shape,color and material of lipstick products,summarize Zodiac makeup product design features.Then,by combing and analyzing the development and content of the zodiac culture,it summarizes the inheritance form of the zodiac culture.Taking the zodiac elements as the carrier of cultural inheritance,the zodiac image is abstracted and extracted through the method of bionic design.Finally,the design practice of zodiac makeup products is carried out.Guided by the core perceptual semantics of the target users,the zodiac elements are applied to the makeup products,the design scheme is output,and the design evaluation and verification are carried out to explore the matching degree between the zodiac makeup products and the core perceptual semantics.And the feasibility of applying zodiac culture in makeup products.Through research and analysis,construct the application method of zodiac culture in the design of makeup products,put forward constraints on the design of zodiac makeup products from the perspectives of supply and demand,so that zodiac makeup products can meet the deep-seated needs of target users and enhance traditional zodiac culture.Fusion with trendy makeup products.Let zodiac makeup products not only meet the functional needs of users,but also meet the perceptual needs of users.At the same time,the zodiac culture is passed on in a richer form in the times,and new design ideas are proposed for the integration design of traditional culture and makeup products.
