"Technology" And "Beauty" In Contemporary Metal Decoration Art

With the development of contemporary art,making various handicrafts and artworks with different kinds of metal materials to meet people's common requirements for their aesthetic and practical functions is collectively referred to as contemporary metal decorative art.Metal handicrafts not only push through the old and bring forth the new on the basis of inheriting traditional skills,but also pursue the aesthetic orientation of pure spiritual connotation in emotion and ideology,which makes many wonderful art forms emerge in contemporary metal decoration art.The purpose of this paper is to explore how to combine craft and aesthetics to achieve the unity of "technology" and "beauty",which is the focus of the research and practice of contemporary metal decorative art.Firstly,the article redefines the metal decorative art from the concept,and expounds in detail the influence of the development of the times on "technology" and the understanding of "beauty" by the differences between the East and the West from two angles,which provides a new direction for understanding the development of metal technology.Secondly,by summarizing the production processes of different times and regions,combing the historical context of the development of traditional metal processes at home and abroad,it has great research significance and reference value for the production process of contemporary metal crafts.This paper discusses from four aspects: concept,material,technology and function,and summarizes the changes of metal decorative art in concept and expression after being impacted by contemporary art.Finally,the article takes the application cases of "technology" and "beauty" in metal crafts as the analysis object,shows contemporary metal crafts from a unique perspective,explores the diversity contained in metal decorative art,and finally presents the research results in personal graduation creation practice.With the continuous development of technology,contemporary metal decoration art is becoming more and more exquisite.It not only has a perfect aesthetic system,but also integrates the cultural connotation of the times to meet people's spiritual needs for decoration.
