A Study On The Design Of Contemporary Tea-room Lacquer Furniture

Tea has a long history and profound cultural heritage in China.Tea-room furniture derived from tea is more integrated with tea culture and furniture culture.Since ancient furniture in China is basically painted with lacquer,most of the furniture used in ancient tea drinking is lacquer furniture.Tea drinking and lacquer furniture are integrated and developed as activities and carriers through time.Lacquer furniture is of practicability,artistry,culture,history and nationality,which has been tested by many years in our daily life.It is the product of the integration of furniture culture and lacquer culture,which carries the soul of the past to the future.However,people's life style,thinking mode,aesthetic habit and cultural background are different from those of ancient times.The traditional lacquer furniture,which has been flourishing for a long time,is gradually depressed because of its old modeling,single function,old decoration,maintenance cost and other reasons.However,tea drinking activities rapidly become popular in the crowd under the excellent social environment,and lacquer furniture and tea culture show different development situation,they are separating away.The practical function of lacquer furniture enables us to see the life style of an era,and the decoration enables us to see the aesthetic thought of an era or a nation through it.The aesthetic value,cultural tradition and technical skills it carries have unique nationality and design concept,and it has undoubted design value and inheritance significance in the furniture design today when it tends to be the same.Combining tea culture and lacquer furniture culture in the topic of contemporary tea-room lacquer furniture,based on the design essentials of contemporary tea-room furniture,the design requirements of tea-room space and the shape,techniques,aesthetic elements,cultural connotation of traditional lacquer furniture and the contemporary transformation design mode of traditional lacquer furniture,the set of contemporary tea room lacquer furniture who design conforms to the aesthetic interest of traditional lacquer furniture in artistic conception and combines the traditional transformation mode of lacquer furniture,modern tea-room space,tea-drinking behavior and psychological needs of contemporary tea-room lacquer furniture.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the preliminary analysis,which explains the research background,significance,content and methods of the paper,and makes some comments on the research status at home and abroad.The second part focuses on the development of traditional lacquer furniture,combs the development of lacquer technology,extracts common skills from it,summarizes the shape elements and decorative themes of lacquer furniture,and deeply understands the cultural heritage of lacquer furniture.The third part focuses on the contemporary transformation design of traditional lacquer furniture and carries out research and thinking.Starting from the current situation of the contemporary lacquer furniture market,it analyzes the current situation of manufacturers and brand products,seeks for the shortcomings,summarizes the advantages of other kinds of furniture in the market,and takes their advantages.It attempts to summarize the contemporary transformation design elements of traditional lacquer furniture for the subsequent contemporary tea-room lacquer furniture design as bedding.The fourth part analyzes the contemporary lacquer furniture design based on the tea-room space,starting from the types,styles,materials,functions,the classification of using space and the points of each demand,in order to explore the design demand of tea-room furniture.Focusing on the contemporary tea-room lacquer furniture,this paper analyzes the definition of the contemporary tea-room lacquer furniture,discusses the demand of the contemporary tea-room lacquer furniture based on the tea culture and space limitation,and determines the design scope and details.The last part elaborates the case of the contemporary lacquer furniture design based on the tea-room space from the overall design concept,function and shape,material and color,painting and texture,human-machine relationship.This paper attempts to seek the contemporary transformation design elements of traditional lacquer furniture combined with the tea-room space limitation from the traditional and contemporary perspectives,and design a set of contemporary tea-room lacquer furniture that can meet the practical and aesthetic needs of tea-room space,and also show the unique aesthetic feeling and cultural connotation of tea culture and lacquer furniture.
