The report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out: “Culture is the soul of a country and a nation.Culture rejuvenates the country and the nation is strong.It is necessary to stimulate the creative and creative vitality of the entire nation's culture and build a country with social themes and culture.In response to the call,the country began to vigorously revive the traditional cultural industry,and gradually realized the importance of traditional cultural education.As an important medium of children's traditional cultural education,toys have become a hot spot of social concern in recent years.However,the current children's toy products in the domestic market have related problems such as lack of cultural connotation,high modeling similarity,and lack of design creativity.In order to improve the educational function of toys and enhance the competitiveness of domestic toy products in the international market,this paper takes traditional Chinese culture as the design theme,and uses the theory of children's cognitive development characteristics as the theoretical basis to sort out and analyze the new ideas of integrating traditional culture into toy design ideas,combined with modern design methods,complete the design of children's toys with higher cultural and educational functions.The research thinking and method of this article is to sort out the cognitive characteristics of children of all ages through the theoretical research of children's cognitive development;according to the sorting and exploration of some traditional Chinese cultural contents and characteristics,sum up the design cut-in in toy design Point;based on the previous theoretical research,use the matrix scale method to explore the relationship between the cognitive abilities of children of all ages and traditional cultural categories;use the scoring method to determine the cultural theme objects;use the analytic hierarchy process to carry out the cultural theme content Refinement and design work;finally use experimental methods to evaluate the feasibility of the design plan,and iteratively improve the plan;finally form a toy design process and specific operating methods based on traditional culture.This article pays attention to the problem of children's traditional cultural education,using building block toys for children aged 3-6 as a carrier to complete related design practices,and provide new design ideas and design processes for related toy companies,which will help the education and inheritance of traditional culture.
