Sugar ester surfactants have many excellent characteristics,such as high surface activity,environmentally friendly,high safety and gentleness and so on.So they have broad application prospects under the advocacy of green chemistry.This topic aims at improving the traditional preparation process of alkenyl succinate sugar esters by greatly reducing the waste of water during preparation process,further increasing the content of the target octenyl succinate glucose ester(OSGE)in the product.Its properties and application in CIP(Clean In Place)cleaning agent were studied,the main results are as follows:1.Glucose was esterified with octenylsuccinate anhydride(OSA)to synthesize glucose ester(GE).Before reaction,glucose was first alkalized and dried.The reaction proceeded under low moisture conditions,and then crude product was extracted with an organic solvent to obtain the glucose ester product GE.Characterization of the product confirmed that OSGE was successfully synthesized by means of infrared spectroscopy,nuclear magnetic spectroscopy,and liquid chromatography.In addition,the product GE also containes a surface active byproduct sodium octenyl succinate(OSS).Taking the relative content of OSGE in the product as an indicator,the water content of reaction system,the amount of alkali added and reaction time were selected to optimize the preparation conditions.The optimal reaction conditions were finally determined as follows: Water content of the reaction system is 18%,and the amount of alkali added(glucose-Na OH molar ratio)is 1:0.6,and the reaction time is 120 min.2.Linear sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate(LAS),alkyl polyglucoside(APG)and cocamidopropyl betaine(CAB)were selected as control and irritation or interfacial properties were studied.Results showed that the minimum surface tension of GE was about 28.2 m N/m,which was close to LAS.The critical micelle concentration(CMC)was the lowest of 0.032 g/L.The calculated hydrophile-lipophile balance(HLB)value was 16.90,indicating its high hydrophilic property.While irritation of GE was much lower than the others by the method of zein test.As for emulsifying ability to liquid paraffin,there was no significant difference with the other three surfactants.The foaming and foam stabilizing performance of GE was poor.The tolerance to calcium ions of GE was better than that of LAS.Molecular simulation results showed that OSGE has the largest area of adsorption layer on the oil-water interface and showed good emulsification ability.The ability to form hydrogen bonds with water,molecular structure,and charge status are all important factors that affect the hydrophilicity of surfactant molecules.OSGE and OSS have a synergistic effect on hydrophilicity.Besides,OSS can improve the speed of emulsification system formation.The absolute value of interface formation energy of OSGE was the largest,indicating it is easier for OSGE to form a stable oil-water mixing interface.3.Added GE to the food industry Clean In Place(CIP)special cleaning agent(CIP cleaning agent)to remove the residual fragrance odor on the rubber sealing rings of the pipe in the beverage production line.The result showed that 0.8% GE can increase the odor removal rate of the original CIP cleaning agent for different flavors from about 60% to more than 95%.GE also improved the detergency of the cleaning agent.At the same time,the amount of foam was low,so it will not increase the usage of flushing water.
