Nitrile rubber has excellent heat resistance,oil resistance,abrasion resistance and corrosion resistance.It is widely used in modern aerospace,automobile,petrochemi-cal and defense industries.However,with the progress of economy and science and technology,The mechanical properties,chemical stability and friction and wear properties of nitrile rubber composites have put forward higher and higher requirements.In this paper,with the purpose of improving the friction and wear properties of nitrile rubber,a systematic study was carried out on the tribological properties of silicon carbide(SiC)and other fillers filled modified nitrile rubber.The effect of SiC content on the vulcanization characteristics,mechanical properties,oil resistance,viscoelasticity and friction and wear properties of composite materials was studied,and the wear mechanism of composite materials was analyzed.At the same time,silane coupling agent was used to modify SiC,and the effect of the type of silane coupling agent and the type of solid lubricant on the properties of NBR/SiC composites was also studied.The research results show that the addition of SiC has little effect on the mechanical properties of NBR composites;the addition of SiC can improve the aging resistance and oil resistance of NBR composites;within the range of experimental temperature,the addition of SiC can reduce the tanδof the composites,But has little effect on the composite material E’;the friction coefficient and wear volume of the NBR composite material increase with the increase of the SiC content;when the SiC content is 5 parts,the composite material has the best friction and wear performance.In the friction process,as the speed increases,the friction coefficient of the composite material decreases,and the amount of wear increases;as the load increases,the friction coefficient of the composite material decreases,but the amount of wear increases;the form of wear of the composite material Mainly abrasive wear and adhesive wear.After modifying SiC with a silane coupling agent,the vulcanization speed,scorch time t10,and process positive vulcanization time of the NBR/SiC composite have little changes,but the maximum torque has increased.The mechanical properties of NBR/SiC composites modified by silane coupling agents have been improved,but different silane coupling agents have different effects on the mechanical properties of NBR/SiC composites.Modified by silane coupling agent A-151.The tensile strength of the NBR/SiC composite material is better.Under the same conditions,the friction and wear performance of the modified NBR/SiC composite is better than that of the unmodified NBR/SiC composite;the NBR/SiC composite modified by the silane coupling agent A-171 has a lower friction coefficient.And volume wear,and there are fewer furrows and tongues on the worn surface,which is smoother and flatter.The addition of solid lubricants has little effect on the vulcanization time and vulcanization rate of NBR/SiC composites;the addition of graphene significantly increases the maximum torque of NBR/SiC composites.The addition of solid lubricants has slightly different effects on the mechanical properties of NBR/SiC composites.The addition of graphene increases the hardness and elongation stress of the composites,reduces the elongation at break,and improves the tear strength;graphite and Mo S2.Adding to reduce the tear strength of the composite material;PTFE has poor compatibility with rubber,which reduces the tensile stress and tear strength of the composite material.In the friction process,the addition of solid lubricants improves the friction and wear properties of NBR/SiC composites.Under dry friction conditions,PTFE improves the friction and wear properties of the composites less;the addition of graphene has an effect on the friction and wear properties of the composites.The improvement is the best,the composite material has a lower coefficient of friction and better wear resistance,and the wear surface is relatively smooth and flat.
