A Study On China-Nigeria Oil Industry Cooperation

China and Nigeria hold a long and friendly tradition and keeps good relations.Since the diplomatic relations established,China and Nigeria's bilateral relations have steadily developed,with the fast-developed economic and mutual trust in politics and the trade size,too.Since 21 st century begins,the breadth and depth of cooperation between China and Nigeria have been further expanded.Because of the needs of African regional integration and economic globalization,Nigeria has reward high requirements for the comprehensive and healthy development of its economy.At present,Nigeria's oil industry is directly or indirectly generating more than 80% Nigeria's fiscal revenue.For Nigeria,scientifically developing the oil industry has become a top priority.In 1993,China's energy status changed from exporting oil to importing oil.The demand for oil continued to rise due to economic development.For China's oil industry,ensure the relative stability of oil prices and the stable import of oil are major issues.The thesis studies characteristics and challenges of the oil industry cooperation between China and Nigeria,based on this,this thesis puts forward some effective countermeasures.In this thesis,through literature research,found that in oil industry cooperation,China's oil consumption demand and Nigeria's oil export demand shows the strong complementarity between China and Nigeria.The oil industry cooperation between China and Nigeria develops rapidly and involves many fields of oil industry,such as oil exploration,exploitation,oil refining.Although,the cooperation between Nigeria and China developing better and better,the two countries,which is China and Nigeria,still have to deal with many challenges in the cooperation.Chinese oil companies need to cope with the competitive pressure from multinational oil companies and Nigerian local oil companies,and also need to deal with the cross-cultural cooperation and safe operation of Chinese oil companies in Nigeria.The upgrading of the oil industry cooperation between China and Nigeria requires the support and cooperation of China and Nigeria,which is also a challenge that must be overcome in the process of development and cooperation between the two countries.
