Research On The Application Of Patchwork Art In Sustainable Fashion Design

At present,with the continuous improvement of people's living standard and national literacy,the pursuit of fashion design is also more diversified.Among them,the sustainability of clothing has gradually become the standard for consumers to measure the value and significance of clothing.Fortunately,Chinese traditional philosophy emphasizes the idea of "harmony between man and nature",so in the long history of harmony between man and nature,the method of "cherishing things" has been created.Patchwork is one of the most colorful.This paper discusses quilting from the perspective of sustainable thinking.Starting from the tracing of quilting at home and abroad and the sorting of its artistic form,by means of comparative study,sustainable design methods in the field of clothing design are classified into two categories: "design innovation before the first production of clothing" and "design regeneration after the waste of clothing materials".This paper analyzes the methods of sustainable design and gives some examples of patchwork design.Finally,it analyzes the sustainable thought behind Chinese and foreign quilts from four aspects,including material,technology,pattern and aesthetics,and makes a double supplement to the theoretical and practical research of quilts by combining certain production experiments.Thinking about where to start when applying quilting as a sustainable design method today,and finally integrating quilting into modern costume design innovation better.At the same time,it is hoped that the intervention of traditional culture represented by quilts can correct the current fashion industry which is overpainted,and connect the past and the present with the concept of "sustainability",so as to provide research ideas for better creation of clothing works and clothing culture with both ecological and environmental protection connotations in the future.
