Jewelry has experienced more than 100000 years of development,already no longer confined to the aesthetic temperament and interest and have a deeper role,the generation of symbol is the most primitive human thinking habits and social environment,and jewelry as material carrier in the moment had come into contact with the symbol from the pure aesthetic demand,and the shallow sublimation to have deeper connotation of carrying things."Dragon" is the most symbolic meaning of the Chinese nation's traditional totem,as a unique Chinese we are a kind of cultural cohesion and accumulation.This paper will start from the symbolism and take "dragon" as an example to study the relationship between jewelry and people,society and culture after the external expression is removed.Dragon elements appeared in the Neolithic Age,has a history of more than 10000 years ago,also in the different historical environment has experienced a series of changes,this article plans to "dragon" elements of the formation and changes in a comb,to explore the different social and cultural environment for the changes of symbolism of the dragon,to explore the "dragon" culture under the background of different social economy and culture of the different and the reason.Taking the dragon as an example,this paper explores the symbolic meaning,the role played by symbols in human society,and the significance of symbols to jewelry as a carrier.
