Deconstructive Clothing Design And Research Based On Cheongsam Elements

Cheongsam is one of the typical traditional Chinese costumes.In the diversified21 st century,cheongsam elements have been widely used in many different fields,and they have become a popular Chinese style in fashion.As the representative of postmodernism,deconstructionism is also one of the styles that are widely welcomed in fashion.The experimental nature of deconstructionism has attracted designers from all fields to use it,which leads to the appearance of many impressive works.The blend of cheongsam elements and deconstructionism is a trend in the fashion innovation,various modern cheongsam design has shown more or less deconstructionism.Using the main elements of cheongsam to design deconstructive clothing is also an innovative expression with contemporary fashion characteristics.Therefore,this research intends to combine stereoscopic and planar methods to create a series of deconstructive design with cheongsam elements.Based on different types of cheongsam elements and deconstructionist methodology,the early study mainly explained and classified cheongsam elements,and also decomposed and summarized common deconstruction methods.Then summarized some points based on the cases which combined cheongsam elements and deconstructionism in fashion design,and accumulated a certain value of reference for the practice in the last part.After theoretical research and modern trends research,a series of deconstructed clothing was designed in a creative way.The finalized series were based on a certain number of draping practices in the early and mid-term.After failing for several times,some initial ideas were replaced and the design was finalized in a compromised way.The five styles focus on different cheongsam elements such as silhouette,collar,sleeves and placket,and use different methods to express deconstructionism,so that the cheongsam elements can be re-interpreted.As a result,cheongsam and deconstructionism have been connected in a new way.
