Platinum is an important precious metal resource.China is the world's largest consumer of platinum group metals.Therefore,it is of great significance to improve resource utilization of platinum group metals.Centrifugal gravity separation is often used in the separation of precious metals processing technology,nelson concentrator is a typical centrifugal gravity separation equipment,in the field of platinum group metal concentration is widely used.Nelson concentrator critical grain size of research is still in a blank stage,the research based on the settlement of stokes formula,combined with nelson concentrator operating parameters studied the critical nelson concentrator recycling granularity model,put forward the suitable for nelson concentrator of critical recycled particle size formula,perfect the theory of separation of nelson concentrator.The influence of recoil water flow on the separation behavior of light and heavy minerals with different grain size was investigated by using quartz and magnetite as raw materials.The results show that the nelson concentrator has a good separation effect on fine grain and heavy mineral.Based on the single mineral experiment,the influence of the recoil-water flow on the binary mixed weight separation index was studied by using the binary mixed ore blending of quartz and magnetite as raw material.The mass fraction and recovery of magnetite in binary system gravity concentrate were predicted by the yield data obtained from single mineral experiment.This experiment shows that the re-selection index can be predicted by single mineral experiment.The separation index of platinum recovered from copper-nickel sulfide ore by nelson concentrator is affected by many factors,such as recoil water flow rate,separation cone speed and pulp concentration.The influence of recoil water flow,separation cone speed and pulp concentration on the separation index of platinum recovered by nelson concentrator was studied.The optimum operating conditions were obtained through the experimental conditions:the speed of the sorting cone was 1495 r-min-1,the recoil water flow was 6 L·min-1,and the pulp concentration was 60%.Under this condition,the platinum grade of 13.5 g·t-1 and the platinum recovery rate of 63.24%were obtained.The response surface analysis(RSM)method was used to further optimize the operating conditions of nelson concentrator.Response surface analysis(RSM)was used to analyze the variance of the operating factors affecting the reconcentration index.It was found that pulp concentration had the most significant effect on the reconcentration index of platinum,followed by recoil water flow,and the minimum effect on the separation cone speed.Through the fitting model,the optimal operating conditions were obtained:the speed of the sorting cone was 1457.90 r·min-1,the recoil water flow was 6.48 L·min-1,and the pulp concentration was 55.94%.Under this condition,the fitting results of platinum grade and platinum recovery in the concentrate were 13.64 g·t-1 and 62.54%,respectively.The fitting value was tested under the operation conditions of 1495 r·min-1 speed of separation cone,6.51·min-1 recoil water flow,and 55%pulp concentration,realizing 13.5 g·t-1 platinum grade and 64.48%platinum recovery in the reconcentration.Achieved a good recovery index.
