The use of railings in traditional Chinese architecture has a long history,with different styles in different times.From the railings in Palace Museum to the wooden in Summer Palace,the railings with traditional Chinese style,such as modeling,decorative and composition patterns,space art and humanistic concepts,have become important elements for jewelry designers to provide inspiration and creativity.On the basis of consulting a large number of literature and data collection,this paper makes a field investigation on the royal ancient buildings of Ming and Qing Dynasties,such as Palace Museum,Temple of heaven,Drum tower,Ming Tombs and Summer palace.It analyzes the appearance structure,decorative patterns and cultural connotation of the railings in the royal buildings of same period,and symbolizes the patterns,spatial layout,humanistic spirit in the railings it can enhance the integration of human and nature in jewelry design and the overall interest and ornamental of the work,and promote the diversified development of jewelry design field innovatively.this paper carries out the art practice of jewelry design,and designs two sets of works.In the first practical work,Cat looks at the bird,a cat lying on the railing overlooking the phoenix is designed and made by creatively using the pen tube in the classical railing,the square shape of the outer circle and the inner square shape symbolizing the round sky and the traditional phoenix patterns,creating the beauty of the artistic conception of Cat looks at the bird in the painting of the Song Dynasty.Practice work 2 “a rest on the railing” focuses on the stone railings in royal buildings.The lotus pattern is composed of elements suitable for the pattern in the railings part.The lotus part is changed in the railings,and the picture is extended out of the railings to echo the spatial properties of the railings,break the original way of expression of the railings,and increase the design sense and flexibility of the picture with curves The civet cat lying on the railing also has a sense of laziness,which adds interest and story to the jewelry. |
