Al/PTFE is considered as a new energetic material by researchers all over the world for its unique insensitive,thermal stability,high energy,high strength and good safety.The reaction fragment made of energetic material Al/PTFE generates energetic penetrator under the action of explosive explosion,which not only has good impact penetration effect,but also achieves the secondary high-efficiency damage effect of"strike and destruction"such as explosion impact and high temperature ignition.In order to study the cook off response characteristics and reaction energy release of energetic material Al/PTFE,two different formulations(?Al=26.5%and?Al=50%)Al/PTFE energetic grain with open box under stable heat source loading were carried out by using self-made experimental and testing system,and the cook off test of two different formulations of Al/PTFE mixture closed tank under stable heat source loading and electric ignition were carried out The deflagration reaction process of energetic material Al/PTFE(?Al=26.5%)was analyzed by experiments in closed tank with traditional formula Al/PTFE(?Al=26.5%).The work and energy release model of energetic material Al/PTFE was established based on relevant theories.The thermal response parameters,such as ignition temperature threshold,ignition time,reaction duration and the highest temperature of flame center,were obtained during the deflagration reaction of Al/PTFE energetic grain in open box under steady heat source loading.The experimental results show that:compared with the grain(?Al=50%),Al and PTFE in the grain(?Al=26.5%)have better mutual infiltration and more uniform contact between components,resulting in higher flame center temperature and flame area after deflagration,shorter ignition time and reaction duration,and more severe cook off response.Based on the theoretical model of energy release,the energy release capacity of Al/PTFE with different formulations per unit mass was obtained in the baking test of Al/PTFE mixture in closed tank under stable heat source loading.The experimental results show that the average temperature rise,gas mixture temperature and overpressure of Al/PTFE(?Al=26.5%)mixture are higher than that of Al/PTFE(?Al=50%);the energy release capacity of Al/PTFE(?Al=26.5%)mixture is 9.36k J/g,which is much higher than that of Al/PTFE(?Al=50%)mixture by 6.57k J/g.The work and energy release capacity of Al/PTFE(?Al=26.5%)per unit mass were obtained in the experiment of the traditional energy containing material Al/PTFE(?Al=26.5%)under electric ignition loading.The experimental results showed that the maximum power capacity and energy release capacity of Al/PTFE(?Al=26.5%)per unit mass were independent of the charge quantity,which were 4.83k J/g and12.48k J/g,respectively.Compared with stable heat source loading,electric ignition can release more energy per unit mass Al/PTFE(?Al=26.5%),and deflagate reaction is more intense,which can meet the requirement of efficient damage to tactical weapons and equipment under the new situation.
