Research On The Evaluation Model Of Manchu Costume Color Image Based On Kansei Engineering

The traditional Chinese color system is extensive and profound,which is the heritage of thousands-year Chinese culture.As one of the representatives of traditional Chinese colors,the color of Manchu-style costumes is tuned to be well distinguishable and unique,which have always been the great choice for designers to learn from.But so far,the protection of the colors of Manchu-style costumes in China is still in the fragmented management stage.No one has massively and systemically extracted and recorded the colors of Manchu-style costumes.With few studies have done on this particular field,there is not yet to have a no complete set of Manchu-style-costume-color image systems or color matching rules for designers to use.In addition,with the increase in people's perception and the transformation of design strategies,"Perceptual design" is becoming more and more important.However,when designers are putting traditional colors in their designs,they often ignore the emotional experience and sensory evaluation of modern consumers on traditional colors,making their designs unable to meet the emotional needs of consumers.Since,there is no complete set of color matching rules for Chinese traditional color to guide designers,they can only be innovative in color combinations on their designs based on the emotional needs of consumers.Therefore,with Manchu-style costume color as the research object,perceptual engineering as the theoretical basis,this research is proposed to establish a systematic and standardized Manchu-style costume color database and color image evaluation mode,using intelligent algorithm,computer-aided design and other technologies.At the same time,it is the bridge that connects consumers and designers,as it finally allows designers to systemically learn from the colors of Manchu-style costumes and to design products that accurately meet the emotional needs of consumers.The main contents are as follows:(1)Establishing a database of Manchu-style costume colors and color imagery;standardizing the naming of representative Manchu-style costume colors;developing Manchu-style costume color plug-ins,and realizing the digital management of Manchu costumes.(2)Providing a theoretical reference for traditional color innovation design by constructing a color image evaluation model of Manchu-style costumes which is testified for its feasibility through experiments.(3)The modern long skirt design practice was carried out with the aid from the proposed model,which verifies the feasibility of the model and also provides a theoretical reference for the innovative application of traditional colors in modern products.
