Application Of Synesthesia Concept In Lighting Design Of Home Atmosphere

In the context of the rapid development of science and technology in the new era,people’s consumer demand has changed with the improvement of living standards.Consumers not only pay attention to the practical functions of the product at the material level,but also pay more attention to the emotional experience at the spiritual level.In this paper,synaesthesia is introduced into the lighting design in the home atmosphere which is most closely related to people’s life.The purpose is to stimulate the interconnection of perception through the design elements of lighting based on people’s physiological sensory characteristics,thereby stimulating emotional cognition at the psychological level,which is conducive to the building of home atmosphere,regulating people’s emotions,and improving people’s emotional experience.The design of household atmosphere lighting products is taken as the research object,and the synesthesia is taken as the theoretical guidance.In the research process,the design concepts and elements of household atmosphere lighting design are firstly analyzed,and then the generation principle,design principle and method of synesthesia theory are explored.Synaesthesia factors in modern household atmosphere lighting design elements were extracted to detailly analyze and summarize mainly from material and spiritual,forming design ideas and methods that takes the synesthesia experience between vision and touch as the target.Three design principles of visual comfort,multi-sensory experience and synaesthesia guidance are summarized,which provide reference and inspiration for the future development of home lighting design.In the design practice part,home atmosphere lighting is used as the design object.From the two parts of lighting appearance and lighting,it explores the effect of lighting light and shadow on the atmosphere of the home space,as well as the emotional experience that the interactive use function of lighting brings to people.After analyzing the results of user surveys,the product positioning is carried out,with young people in the contemporary fast-paced life as the main user target,and the main design goal is to emphasize the creation of a relaxed and pleasant space atmosphere for home lighting.In order to allow users to get a soothing and relaxing emotional experience,the four natural scene elements of natural landscape elements("rain","snow","wind"and "sunlight")are extracted,and then combined with glass craftsmanship to design home atmosphere lighting.It breaks the boundary between visual and tactile senses in terms of the interactive experience of the shape,color,light,texture of the material and operation mode of the atmosphere lighting.With the help of the transparency,color diversity,texture richness and other material characteristics of colored glaze,the user’s visual perception and tactile perception are mobilized.So that the product can bring consumers a new sensory experience and meet people’s emotional needs.Through the physical production of the design scheme,the application evaluation of design practice can be improved,and the theory can be used and tested in practice.
