Research On The Design Of Traditional Chinese Mirror Case

As the traditional artifact of ancient women's wedding,the traditional mirror box belongs to the same small furniture category,and has a close relationship with the life of ancient people,not only has the use function of shining face and storing dressing utensils,behind the traditional culture is also extremely rich,has a high research value.The traditional mirror box mainly developed in the Ming and Qing dynasties,influenced by the social,economic and cultural factors of the Ming and Qing dynasties,its form,structure,decoration,materials and craftsmanship present a unique style.This paper takes the mirror case of Ming and Qing dynasties as the research object,and conducts a comprehensive and systematic design research on the form,structure,decoration,material,technology and design concept of the mirror case through pictorial and sociological methods.First,we use the iconographic method to collect a large number of books,documents and images about the object of this study to form a scientific preliminary understanding of the mirror case.Further,through the image of the mirror box to the mirror box form,structure,decoration,material,technology for systematic combing,in-depth study and analysis of the design characteristics and design concept of the mirror box,for this paper to study the design of the mirror box to provide scientific theoretical basis.Secondly,the sociological method is used to study the lifestyle,social culture,emotion and morality of ancient people,so as to analyze the cultural heritage and the spirit of craftsmanship behind the mirror case,so as to better inherit and innovate.The research results of this paper are intended to complement the research on the design of the mirror case.The research results of this paper hope to complement the research on the design of mirror boxes and provide effective reference for the design of modern mirror boxes.
