Mogok,Myanmar is a world-renowned ruby and sapphire producing area.Lisu people living here are important participants in the gem industry. They have produced different ethnic relations and religious choices in the gem mining, processing and sales chain. In this chain, the spiritual capital of different religions plays a role all the time.It is not only an important hidden capital for ethnic groups to unite and construct social networks beyond ethnic groups, regions and national borders, but also an important symbol of ethnic groups' boundaries and divisions. The core of this paper is to discuss the relationship between spiritual capital and production and life from the perspective of the living environment, ethnic migration process and livelihood of the Mogok Lisu people, and finally to obtain the relationship between spiritual capital and the survival and adaptation of the Mogok Lisu people. This paper consists of six parts. In the introduction part, the author expounds the origin and significance of the research, sorts out the previous research context, and introduces the theoretical support and research methods of this paper.Through an overview of ethnic groups and religious beliefs,it discusses why Mogok became the birthplace of spiritual capital, and then explores the necessary conditions to produce spiritual capital. The second chapter mainly describes the migration process and livelihood evolution of the Mogok Lisu people, explains the status and role of the Mogok Lisu people in the local gem industry, and discusses how spiritual capital has become an important content of the Mogok Lisu ethnic group's cohesion and division. The third chapter focuses on the relationship between the religious spiritual capital of the Lisu people in Mogok and the development of the local gem industry, and discusses the three forms of spiritual capital from Christianity,Southern Buddhism and Myanmar's local gem worship. The fourth chapter mainly analyzes the religious rituals of the Lisu people in Mogok of Myanmar with different religious backgrounds, and then discusses their different understanding of spiritual capital. In the conclusion part, the author draws a conclusion based on the contents of the previous chapters.Through research,we can realize that religion as spiritual capital has certain relevance with Lisu people's survival and adaptation.Spiritual capital is an important social resource for Lisu people who believe in Christianity,Southern Buddhism and Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism.Through the spiritual capital,Lisu people of various religious backgrounds in Mogok can gain benefits in their production and life and accumulate corresponding wealth.Spiritual wealth helps Lisu people adjust their attitude to the current social and economic changes, while material wealth helps Lisu people to improve their social status. The spiritual capital acts on the precious stone mining, processing, and sales chain of the Lisu people in Mogok. All groups of the Mogok Lisu people who run through these three stages have obtained the spiritual capital they need. Each link has been implemented and linked together to organically integrate the whole production, processing, and sales chain.Spiritual capital has become an important content and symbol for the cohesion and division of the Lisu ethnic group in Mogok. No matter in the process of collecting, processing,or selling, there is no deep mutual exclusion between the Lisu ethnic groups who believe in Christianity and Southern Buddhism.Everyone's goal is the same: to maximize benefits.Seeking common ground while reserving differences leads to cohesion, while zero-sum games lead to separation.Multicultural religious choice is the survival wisdom of the Mogok Lisu people, and eventually constructs a "Mogok Lisu Gem Kingdom" beyond the boundaries of religion, region, and language. The social fact of Lisu's multireligious symbiosis in Mogok area is not a passive choice, but the survival wisdom and rational tolerance formed by Lisu's various groups in their years of production and development. The exertion of this survival wisdom finally enables various groups to obtain more substantial benefits and progress in a harmonious coexistence environment of multiple religions.
