"Meng" was originally the language of Japanese otaku in the 1980 s.Influenced by the development of "youth subculture","cute culture" and other cultures,it gradually formed "cute culture".With the development of science and technology and new media industry," cute culture" has become one of popular culture.At the same time,driven by economic interests,it has become a very popular minority consumption with more social and economic values.This paper summarizes the origin and development of " cute culture",analyzes the connotation of " cute culture" in China at present,expounds the popular reasons of " cute culture" from its development characteristics and performance characteristics,probes into the social phenomena that it can develop and the essential meaning that it reflects,and divides and analyzes the application and performance of " cute culture" in the design of clothing products from the region.Fashion industry is not only a huge field of " cute economy",but also the main market field of consumer group consumption.From the relationship between subculture and costume design,and the relationship between "cute culture" and costume design under the subculture background,this paper demonstrates the application of "cute culture" in costume product design,which will help us to study culture and costume design,and study "cute culture" and costume product design.
