Design And Research Of The Enclosed Space Of Hollowware

Utensils are artworks featuring both practicality and visual pleasant,e.g.pots,saucers,bowls,vases,jugs and etc.Utensil design emphasizes on sculpting both the body and space.In contrary to reliefs of three-dimensional objects,it is significant to thoroughly pay more attention to the overall appearances in different viewpoints.In particular,for utensils like bowls and saucers,the visible inner space is an important part for viewers to see from above.Therefore,the visual effects of inner space are non-negligible considerations in the design of such utensils,in addition to their outer shapes.In order to study the concave inner space in metal utensils,this article first defines the research scope of the vessel,and quote the concept of "enclosed space" in the field of architecture and sculpture to summarize and define spaces with such structural features in metal vessels.View the related theoretical basis of "enclosed space" and design Practices of "Enclosed Space" in Different Fields,inductively summarize the design method and production process of "enclosed space" in hollowware.Finally,the practical demonstration is made by personally making hollowware.
