With the development of society,the improvement of information technology and change of living environment,we have gradually entered the era of quality consumption,spiritual consumption,and experiential consumption.At the same time,the apparel industry is facing multiple trends,such as the upgrading of consumption and aesthetics.Brand rejuvenation has become an important way for apparel brands to "transform and upgrade." The Millennial female group will be the current and future consumer dominant force,because they have been promoting the development of trends and styles.The changes in the social environment and the improvement of aesthetic levels have made it difficult to meet the needs of the Millennial women with identical fashion design or single product model.Such demands for clothing product not just include its basic practicality,but also emphasize their eagerness for emotional satisfaction,which includes their multiple appeals and personalized experiences.More and more clothing brands are following this trend and responding to the personalized emotional needs of the Millennial female consumer through timely transforms and measures.This article mainly discusses from five chapters.Firstly,it summarizes the emotional needs and consumption characteristics of the Millennial generation,and it also elicits the reason why such emotional needs happen by using the way of questionnaire.Following this,it concludes out the development direction of fashion design is not only related to current trend,but also to this group's emotional needs.Based on its influence,this paper then analyses lots of reform measures by clothing brands,which has been performed to aim to meet consumer needs as well as the diversification development of womenswear design.On the basis of this,it concludes the change of the emotional needs of the Millennial female and accordingly performs design practices.Finally,by thinking about the Millennial emotional need's impact on the development of today's womenswear design,this paper comes to realize the womenswear design direction and gives some contributions to the development and innovation of womenswear industry.
