With the development of technology and social economy in plant extract industry,Z enterprise needs to follow the market changes and develop new products in line with the market demand.In order to help enterprises improve the efficiency of new product development and solve the problems existing in the progress management of new product development projects,this paper takes naringin as a representative plant extract new product development project as an application research example,and studies the progress management of naringin product development projects by comprehensively using the project progress management theory and critical chain method.In the process of research,the paper first summarizes and analyzes the current situation,characteristics and problems of project schedule management of naringin product development project.Then we use the traditional project schedule management tools to find out the critical path of the project and make the preliminary project schedule.On this basis,we use the critical chain method to optimize the project schedule,eliminate the safety time in the activity estimation time,consider the resource constraints in the project,adjust the project activity sequence,eliminate the resource conflicts in the project network plan,and find out the critical chain of the project,and calculate and set the buffer to ensure the execution time of the project.Finally,through the comparative analysis and application practice,the conclusion is drawn.The conclusion is that the critical chain method can be successfully applied to the development project of plant extracts represented by naringin,which can effectively help enterprises manage the progress of naringin product development project,shorten the project cycle and save the project cost;the application of project progress management theory and critical chain method in the project helps enterprises break the traditional model of new product development of plant extracts.It provides a new idea for related management and has a very important reference for other similar product development projects.
