Study On Innovative Design Of Murphy Bed

In recent years,as the rise of the SOLO,murphy bed serves as the sharp-edged weapon that saves space,get the love of people,become the multi-function furniture product with popular on the market.Murphy bed as an exotic,its style and structure are introduced from abroad,due to the differences between Chinese and western living culture,many domestic consumers on murphy bed convenience and stability still have doubts.Besides,Murphy bed on the domestic market pays attention to function form too much,and oversight its artistic essence,bring about product exterior to tend homogenization.To design murphy bed in line with modern Chinese lifestyle and aesthetic needs to build a murphy bed theoretical knowledge system,and its regional,national,time to rethink.In this paper,Murphy bed was selected as the object of study,through literature research,field research,case study,questionnaire survey,household interview,and other methods,combined with qualitative analysis,mathematical analysis,mind map analysis and other ways of systematic research.The research content includes: combine the development history of Murphy bed,summarizing the design characteristics of a murphy bed,investigating the current market situation of a murphy bed,summarizing the design principles and methods of a murphy bed,and integrating the above research results for murphy bed design practice.The conclusions are as follows:(1)This paper studied the development of murphy's bed in detail.Murphy bed was born in Europe and flourished in the United States.The development history is divided into the traditional Murphy bed period before 1900 and the modern murphy bed period after 1900.Modern Murphy bed by social,economic factors,after a hundred years of ups and downs,is now along with the customized,multi-functional,human,intelligent direction of development.(2)Murphy bed design features,including artistic features,structural features,and functional features.The traditional Murphy Bed is influenced by European culture and the early American colonial style.Modern Murphy Bed,the shape is more concise,strong sense of lines,wood-based panels for the main material supplemented by hardware connector,embedded and independent coexist,and through soft outfit collocation and the surrounding space environment to achieve harmony and unity;Whether it is traditional or modern Murphy Bed,according to the use of functions can be divided into monomer and composite Murphy Bed,the specific space and combination form,decided the functional characteristics of Murphy Bed.(3)Conducted a comprehensive survey of the Murphy Bed market and consumers through offline stores,questionnaire survey,and typical user interviews.At present,domestic consumers do not have a high awareness of murphy's bed.People aged between20 and 30 are potential consumers of murphy's bed.In order to further expand the market and reduce production costs,it is an urgent problem to be solved.Non-small households aged 30-40 are the main group of people who buy Murphy Beds.Murphy Beds are placed in spare Spaces such as second bedrooms,study rooms,and children's rooms,and higher requirements are put forward for product quality.(4)Summarized the Murphy Bed design principles and methods.According to the design positioning and preliminary research will be the integrity,intensification and humanistic art as Murphy Bed innovative design of the three principles,through systematic,modular,CMF design method,respectively on Murphy Bed structure,function,shape,color matching,material improvement,try to reduce production costs and increase the added value of products.Through the above conclusions and specific design methods,Murphy Bed innovative design practice,so that the research results of the visualization of Murphy Bed for the future development of reference and Suggestions.
