Study On Supervision Of Water Traffic Safety In Suzhou

Suzhou,located in the east of Shanghai,west of Taihu Lake,north of the Yangtze River,south of Zhejiang,is rich in water resources.It’s known as "Oriental Venice" reputation that has a unique natural condition for the development of water traffic.With the rapid development of inland port and waterway in Suzhou,the economic and social development of Suzhou has been promoted.With the new situation of China’s economic development,water traffic market has entered a new round of adjustment while it’s under the new challenges.It’s needed to strengthen the safety supervision and rescue capabilities,to ensure safety of shipping and stabilization of economic growth.So it could provide the basis for building a well-off society.Local maritime department is an important department in the field of the safety of water traffic.It takes an important role in the field of safety management.With the new situation of the development of water traffic,the local maritime department needs to speed up the reform and adapt to the rapid development of inland shipping.This paper gives an overview of the research on safety supervision of shipping,defines the concept of water traffic safety,and briefly introduces the theoretical basis and significance of safety supervision.At the same time,this paper analyzes the present situation of water traffic in Suzhou area,and explains the basic situation of Suzhou inland navigable waters and inland ports.This paper focuses on the analysis of safety supervision in Suzhou area,including the latest situation of traffic supervision in the first half of 2016 and the traffic safety in recent years.Through the analysis of traffic safety in key areas,it summarizes the problems of safety supervision of shipping in Suzhou area.Finally,this paper analyzes the situation of safety supervision in Suzhou area,and also gives suggestions for the improvement of safety supervision in Suzhou.So it could effectively enhance safety supervision level of water traffic and safeguard the development of economy and society in Suzhou.
