Binder clips assembly is still mainly achieved manually at present in China,it has not continuous and automatic assembly systems yet.Therefore,this study developed an automatic binder clip assembly system,through mechanics and modal analysis to study the key technology of the system,completed the hardware and software design,independently to realize the rapid automatic assembly of binder clip.The design and development of the assembly system are of great significance for the development of stationery enterprises.(1)As the extensive application of assembly automation,the assembly of binder clips will also tend to be automatic.This study firstly investigated the present situation and achievements of binder clip assembly.Subsequently,an automatic binder clip assembly system was designed.(2)The structural characteristics and design features of several key institutions have been analyzed in detail.Mechanics analysis and dynamic Performance Analysis of key institutions have determined the assembly driving force,avoided resonance,assured deformation of the holding portion within 0.5mm,to ensure the reliability and stability of the assembly.(3)Developed bind clips automated assembly control system based on STM32.According to the general design,detailed hardware and software design.Hardware design comprises a pneumatic drive system design,a feedback system design and STM32 control system set up.Software design adopt the STM32 firmware library development,realized the assembly control tasks.(4)The limit assembly efficiency of the system platform was achieved consequently through the debugging to the platform built on the system,simulation and experimental analysis of loading and unloading mechanism.Test results suggested that: the assembly efficiency of the six units like this platform designed can assemble 7200 binder clips per hour,when air pressure was set at 0.3MPa and the desired success rate was achieved.Assembly efficiency far more than manual assembly.To sum up,the assembly system proposed in this study improved the assembly efficiency of binder clip and achieved the desired effect by means of ingenious structural design and unique assembly method.In case of furthering the application of precision manufacturing and electromechanical integration technology,the assembly would be further diversified.If this binder clips assembly system been applicated and popularized,it will be well positioned to meet the needs of the assembly and can be completely replace manual assembly,lower production costs.
