In recent years,global climate change challenges have escalated,Urban Heat Island(UHI)and other "big city diseases" have intensified,and calls for healthy living and livable cities have been rising.How to mitigate UHI and build a beautiful and livable city are common issues for related practitioners.In this paper,based on extensive study of related subject literature,the concepts and contents were firstly summarized,these related to urban heat environment and monitoring methods,UHI and cold island,thermal comfort,etc.From these,the methodology and approach were found out to solve the problems and practical technical routes were formulated.Then,the author focuses on the correlation between UHI and urban landscape composition and configuration,establishes the coupling mechanism between UHI mitigation and landscape planning and design,and then explores the UHI mitigation strategy in the context of landscape planning and design.Next,the landscape is zoned according to the intensity of climate,ecology and recreation functions: landscape cold source space,landscape wind corridor space,landscape open space and heat island boundary space.Different UHI mitigation strategies are developed according to the characteristics of the four partitions.The above is the construction of a universal landscape planning and design method based on UHI mitigation.Finally,taking a recreation park in Beijing Daxing International Airport Economic Zone as an example,the author verified the effect of different strategies on the site with the help of numerical simulation software such as ENVI-met.According to thermal comfort evaluation,landscape recreation and sustainable development etc.,the optimal combined strategies to mitigate UHI were found out,various activity fields were arranged appropriately with microclimate well designed.Thus,an UHI mitigation strategy system applicable to the site was built up,and a composite open space that carries urban recreation service function and ecological service function was established.The focus and difficulty of the study are how to translate the results of the literature review and the simulation data of ENVI-met into landscape strategies and apply them to the site,and there are still some weaknesses in the study that need to be further explored.
