In China,the last Monday of the third month of the year is the "Safety Education Day" for primary and middle school students across the country.The system was set up in 1996 to promote the safety education of children in an all-round way,to ensure the safety of primary and secondary school students,to reduce the casualties caused by disasters,and to actively promote the health and growth of children.After the Wenchuan earthquake in 2008,China began to actively appeal to the people to pay attention to earthquake prevention,disaster reduction and self-rescue,and make every effort to reduce the huge losses caused by the earthquake disaster.In 2009,The State Council approved the establishment of May 12 each year as the National Disaster prevention and Reduction Day.Earthquake disaster belongs to natural disasters,natural disasters of all kinds of characteristics,especially in the campus of students intensive once occurred,the damage is unprecedented,in addition to the earthquake damage itself,without professional training of primary and middle school students to escape the wrong choice to escape more deadly,even can cause massive stampede,jump off a building,secondary damage.In addition,the great psychological pressure when the disaster comes will affect students' normal escape judgment,so it is extremely important for students to improve their ability to escape and save themselves when the earthquake occurs from multidimensional.The usual earthquake knowledge and risk learning comes from textbooks and teachers,and few schools are able to hold evacuation drills every year.This is because the earthquake environment itself is difficult to simulate,and some expensive evacuation drills may not be in line with the real scene,more primary and middle school students in the process of evacuation drills are holding an interesting and happy attitude.This is a far cry from the panic caused by the earthquake.In the face of these problems,the author's first thought is to make good use of the emerging technology of virtual reality.However,in the selection process of VR earthquake-related films,it is found that VR films are generally not targeted and difficult to be integrated into classroom teaching needs.Therefore,in order to simulate a more real campus earthquake scene for students to learn and use,we must first go through preliminary research to understand whether teachers and students can accept VR classroom,and what needs they have for VR content when using VR teaching.Then design and develop the VR teaching content of earthquake safety education according to the above requirements;Finally,through the experimental comparison with traditional earthquake popular science classroom,it is analyzed that VR classroom is more effective than traditional classroom in improving students' knowledge level of earthquake safety education.
