As an emerging simulation technology that integrates multiple fields,virtual reality technology is widely used in education and teaching.Virtual reality technology has good immersion and interactivity.It can create a realistic three-dimensional visualization experimental scene,provide interactive experimental content and learning materials,simulate experimental phenomena that cannot be directly observed in reality,and open up a new kind of experimental teaching.Teaching ideas.The main purpose of the thesis is to combine the STEAM education concept with virtual reality technology,with the junior high school physical optics experiment as the subject background,design and develop a virtual optical experiment system to help students intuitively understand the process and law of light propagation,and finally realize technology-driven digital STEAM Learning Resources.The main research work of this paper is as follows:(1)The study and research of relevant educational theories.Check the literature,understand the theoretical basis and research status of "STEAM education","virtual reality technology","virtual experiment" and other related fields,and carry out the feasibility analysis of the combination of STEAM education concept and virtual reality teaching.Clarify the design principles of student-centered and experimental projects as the main body,and put forward the teaching goal of "teaching science,learning technology,doing engineering,seeking art,and studying mathematics" for each experimental project;(2)Design and development of virtual experiment system.Design the overall framework and development process of the virtual experimental system.The system mainly includes three modules: small hole imaging,plane mirror reflection,convex lens imaging and other experimental operations;playing video to explain the basics of optics,three-dimensional animation to show the formation process of optical phenomena;connecting interactive devices in Roam in the virtual scene,observe and control the experimental equipment.(3)Empirical research on virtual experimental system.Unity3 d engine and 3dsmax modeling software are used to build the virtual experiment scene,C# language is used to realize the interaction function of light propagation process and experiment,socket network programming and MySQL database are used to realize the communication between different clients of the virtual experiment system,and the final empirical research and actual effect analysis are carried out after the system development.The virtual experiment system developed based on the STEAM education concept can effectively enhance students' learning interest and enthusiasm.Students learn theoretical knowledge,operate experimental instruments,observe experimental phenomena in virtual experimental scenes,and can effectively cultivate their project practice ability and engineering thinking.It enables students to realize the transfer of knowledge in the process of solving practical problems,and proves the feasibility of applying the virtual experiment system to STEAM teaching.
