The lichen Chroodiscoid Thelotremataceae belongs to Graphidales,Lecanoromycetes,Ascomycota,Fungi. There are 15 genera including Astrochapsa?Chapsa?Chroodiscus and so on.This group is more on barks, less on leaves, moss and rocks. It is characterized by crustose thallus,Chroodiscoid ascomata, clear or/to inspersed hymenium, absent or present of periphysoides, unbranched paraphyses with simple, thickened, moniliform, branched or spiny tips,1?8-spored asci, hyaline to brown, transversely septate to muriform ascospores, lichen substrances present or absent, and the photobiont of Trentepohliaceae. The materials,200 specimens were collected mainly from Hainan,Fujian,Yunnan,Hunan,Guangdong and Guangxi Provinces, deposited in the Fungarium of College of Life Sciences,Liaocheng University(LCUF),North West Agriculture and Forestry University(WUK)and Herbarium of Crytopams,Kunming Institute of Botany,Academia Sinica-Lichenes(KUN-L).Based on the methods of morphology, anatomy, chemistry, biogeography and molecular systematic,19 species of Chroodiscoid Thelotremataceae are reported, including 4 new species to science, viz.: Chapsa murioelongata,C.muriinspersa,C.sp.nov.No.1 and C.sp.nov.No.2;1 new combination,viz.C.wolseleyana;7 new record species in China, viz.: Astrochapsa platycarpella,A.pseudophlyctis,A.zahlbruckneri,C.cinchonarum,C.diploschistoides,C.patens and C.pulchra.All species are described and discussed in detail. The photos showing their morphology and anatomy are given. The phylogenetic trees constructed by nu LSU and mt SSU sequences of some species are also provided.Keys to the species are presented. This is the first systematic study on the Chroodiscoid Thelotremataceae, which fills the blank of the Thelotremataceae research with molecular data support from China. This study has accumulated data for the further study of Thelotremataceae.
