In order to investigate the response law of offshore electrical platform under different working conditions, the finite element simulation and nonlinear dynamic analysis of offshore electrical platform structure were carried out based on vector form intrinsic finite element. The main research and conclusions of this paper are as follows.Firstly, the paper studied the vector form intrinsic finite element theory and verified its feasibility and accuracy based on examples. The vector mechanics calculation software VFOSP was written. The software had the basic functions of finite element calculation and achieved the innovation of finite element software calculation method.Secondly, this paper used the software to calculate the gravity load condition and environmental load condition of an offshore electrical platform.Compared with the traditional finite element calculation results, the errors of vector finite element software were mostly within 5%,and some results had relative errors within 15%,however the absolute errors were kept within 2 mm,which could prove its feasibility and accuracyFinally, the software was used to calculate the seismic and collision conditions, which proved that the vector finite element can effectively simulate the platform structure and its response under accidental conditions. The calculation results of the seismic load were compared with the SACS calculation results, and the peak error was within 8%.The distribution law of displacement response and stress of the offshore electrical platform structure under seismic conditions was obtained by analyzing the calculation result. At the same time, the influence of loading direction, damping coefficient and loading mode on the calculation results was studied. The results showed that the seismic load in the X direction has a greater influence on the structure, and the damping has an influence on the amplitude of the displacement response. And the acceleration loading method was more applicable than the displacement loading method.
