As people's exploitation and application of river and ocean, the harm of the ice on the water and ocean structure is more and more notable, and the calculating of ice load is becoming one of the first regarded problems. In this paper, the combination ues of the nonlinear contact patterns using finite element with element live&death and ice model tests will be used to analyze the ice force on structure.The paper introduced the mechanic characters which is relate to mathematical analysis of ice at first and discusses several mechanism models and the formula calculation in profession criterion of ice load on the offshore structure. According to the finite element and nonlinear contact theory, using the ANSYS, a mathematical pattern of ice-offshore interaction can be created, and the action processes between ice cover and sloping structure and uprightness structure are simulated separately. At the same time, the ice model tests are carried out. The mathematical model is adjusted and improved consult the model test result, and the good result of the ice load on structure is gained by simulation compute.With the combination analysis of theory and experiment, it is proved that the research by mathematical method has expection foreground. A simple, doable, economical mathematical analysis method that is used for calculating the ice load on ocean and water structure can be carried out.
