With the rapid development of the Internet and the popularity of smart phones,more and more decisions can be made through mobile phones.At present,the use frequency of mobile Internet terminals in China is much higher than that of PC.The COVID-19 epidemic in 2020 has not only made teaching activities online,but also brought obstacles to experimental economics based on behavioral experiments.Exploring how decision-making environment and equipment affect economic decisions is of great significance to the expansion and development of behavioral experiments and the choice of equipment for people to make decisions.Using an experimental method and recruiting more than 600 subjects for behavioral experiments,this paper adopt a 2 * 2 experimental design to explores the effects of environment and equipment on economic decisions.The whole experiment consisted of eight different classical economic games.Through basic descriptive statistics and Wilcoxon signed rank test,the difference of decision results in different environments and equipment is intuitively compared.Furthermore,the general least squares model and the Logistic model are used for the overall data,and the results of each game experiment are regressed with the possible influencing factors as independent variables.Considering that there are great differences between laptop and smart phone in both system and interface size,it is difficult to separate the actual impact by putting all the data together.This paper further analyzes the data of laptop and smart phone separately to explore the impact of screen size and system on decision-making respectively.The results showed that there was no significant difference in the decision making between the laboratory experiment and the online experiment under the conditions of the strict control of the experiment process,and there was no significant difference in the results of the experiment between the personal computer and the public computer in the laboratory.Compared with smartphones,the laptop showed greater risk acceptance and probability of lying,and the data from the laptop showed a stronger comparison effect.On the laptop side,the system had no significant effect on the decisions in each game,but the screen height had a positive effect on the risk acceptance ability,and thus affected the ultimatum game.On the smartphone side of the experiment,the level of altruistic preference was lower and the decisionmaking strategy was higher when the IOS phone was used.The bigger the screen,the more strategic the decision.In short,this study supports the conclusion that the data quality of online experiments is sufficiently reliable that online experiments can indeed be a potentially valuable complement to laboratory research.There are significant differences between the experimental data of smartphone and laptop in some games,so it should be more cautious to use smartphone instead of laptop in experiments.The height of computer screen has an impact on risk acceptance ability,while the system and screen size of smart phone will affect multiple preferences of the subjects.Therefore,in future experiments,screen size and system variables should be controlled to reach more accurate and scientific conclusions.In addition,the larger the screen size of a phone,the more strategic the decision,which supports the need to use a larger phone for business and other important decisions.
