With the continuous intensification of global environmental problems,a series of environmental problems such as the lack of resources and energy and the deterioration of the ecological environment faced by mankind have become more severe. In a general sense, people regard carbon dioxide(CO2)as the main greenhouse gas,but in fact,methane(CH4)has a much stronger greenhouse effect than carbon dioxide.Relevant studies have shown that the warming effect of methane is 84 times that of carbon dioxide in 20 years, and the global warming effect of methane is 28 times that of carbon dioxide in 100 years. Most previous studies have focused on the carbon emissions of the economy, ignoring CH4emissions from the upstream supply chain of the supply chain caused by the final consumption of the economy. Therefore, the development of a low-carbon economy not only needs to reduce carbon emissions, but also pay attention to methane emission reduction.Southeast Asia is one of the regions most severely affected by climate change in the world.Among the 20 most vulnerable countries in the world, there are 6 ASEAN countries including Indonesia,Thailand,Myanmar,Malaysia,Vietnam and the Philippines. With the rapid development of society and economy in ASEAN countries, the level of energy consumption is increasing day by day,and environmental problems continue to be prominent. Therefore, studying methane emissions from the supply chain in the ASEAN region can root the awareness of energy conservation and emission reduction in the process of economic development, clarify the logical relationship between the spatial and temporal evolution of methane emissions in ASEAN countries and the spatial pattern of economic growth, and achieve economic development and the environment in the ASEAN region.Coordinated development of protection. This thesis takes the four types of methane emissions from six countries in the ASEAN region as the research proposition, and takes the correlation of methane emissions among the industrial sectors of the six ASEAN countries from 2002 to2012 as the research object, and selects appropriate analysis methods for the six ASEAN countries.Supply chain methane research, and finally put forward relevant energy policy recommendations to assist decision-making departments to formulate more scientific and targeted methane emission reduction plans and trade management plans. The main content of this research includes the following four parts:(1)Based on the economic data and methane emission data of the six ASEAN countries from2002 to 2012,use the IOLCA model to explore the changes in the scale and structure of direct and indirect methane emissions over the years. It turns out that the manufacturing industry in the six ASEAN countries plays a central role in its direct and indirect types at all levels.(2)Using the EEMRIOA model,a comprehensive overview of methane emissions in the supply chain of the six ASEAN countries was studied, and the trend of methane emissions implied by import and export trade in the ASEAN region was analyzed from two perspectives based on the production side and the consumption side. The results show that the implicit methane emissions of the six ASEAN countries based on the production side and the consumption side have shown an upward trend during the study period.(3)According to the network analysis method, analyze the amount of controlled methane emission transfer and structural changes, and calculate the control dependence index of each department. The results show that the manufacturing industry in ASEAN countries is the core control sector, and the dependent companies are mostly raw material production and processing enterprises. The control sector should be regulated by improving energy efficiency.(4)Based on the results of the previous calculations, the methane emission reduction potential of various industries in the six ASEAN countries is calculated. The results indicate that Indonesia,Malaysia, the Philippines and Vietnam should focus on reducing emissions in the agriculture and mining sectors, and the manufacturing sector will serve as Thailand. The key planning department for formulating methane emission reduction strategies,Singapore should focus its emission reduction tasks on the service sector.
