Research On Operating Efficiency Of Listed Communication Companies Based On DEA Model

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued 4G licenses in 2013 and officially issued 5G licenses in 2019.It took only 6 years to complete the popularization of 4G mobile networks and the official commercialization of 5G mobile networks.5G commercialization has brought about a brand new change in the industry and rapid technological iteration.However,as the main body leading the development of the new generation of mobile communication technology,communication companies are facing internal and external troubles.With the call of the country to reduce fees and speed up,the investment in 5G infrastructure and the profit margin of communication operation companies are getting smaller and smaller.International restrictions on my country's communications are constantly escalating,access to the international market is blocked,and the application of core technologies is constrained.Therefore,if communication companies want to seek new development and improve their operating conditions,the most important thing is to improve their own operating efficiency.Based on the relevant efficiency theory and efficiency evaluation method,this paper selects the operation data of 75 listed communication enterprises from 2014 to 2018 as samples,constructs the input-output index system,and makes empirical research by using various models of DEA method.The following conclusions are drawn:(1)the overall operation efficiency of listed Communication Enterprises is poor from 2014 to 2018,Only 6 enterprises have achieved effective operation in five years.(2)The main reason for poor operation efficiency is the low pure technical efficiency.Communication enterprises should pay attention to the rationality of resource allocation and take the road of fine management.(3)From the perspective of the nature of equity,the operation efficiency of the local state-owned enterprises is higher than that of the central and private enterprises.(4)The results show that the total factor productivity of communication enterprises with long listing time and moderate scale is higher than that of other enterprises,which is mainly due to the technological progress during the operation period.Secondly,based on Tobit regression model,this paper further studies the influencing factors of listed communication operation efficiency.The results show that the national macroeconomic strength and the length of listed communication enterprises have a positive impact on the operating efficiency,while the proportion of accounts receivable,the proportion of fixed assets and the turnover rate of total assets have no significant impact on the operating efficiency of listed communication enterprises.Finally,combined with the research results,the paper puts forward some suggestions on how to improve the operation efficiency and sustainable development of listed communication enterprises.
