| Regional economic difference is a normal phenomenon that must exist in the process of social development.It is specifically manifested as differences in economic structure,economic development foundation,growth rate,and economic aggregate.With the steady progress of regional coordinated development strategy,the raelative gap of county economic development has narrowed gradually in Guangdong Province.However,the absolute gap of economic development is still expanded between the Pearl River Delta and other places.Therefore,the study analyses the spatial pattern and influencing factors of county economic difference in Guangdong Province.It is important to guide the optimal allocation of resources and lay out industries reasonably.It also can provide scientific suggestions for promoting complementary advantages and harmonious development between various regions.In the end,regional economy will develop with high quality in Guangdong Province.Based on the research of regional economic difference,the study used spatial visualization analysis to explore the characteristics of the county economy in Guangdong Province.The spatial homogeneity and heterogeneity between counties were reflected by the spatial autocorrelation analysis.Moreover,the study revealed the spatial features of different industries in the counties.The study selected indicators from multi-source remote sensing data,point of interest and traffic network data.The evaluation index systems were constructed by multiple linear stepwise regression analysis,intended to estimate ecomomic and industrial development level.Finally,the study used geographically weighted regression model(GWR)and multi-scale geographically weighted regression model(MGWR)to make an empirical anaysis on the influence mechanism of economic development and industrial structure.The main conclusions were as follows:(1)In terms of the overall spatial pattern,the difference of county economy showed the spatial feature of ‘center-periphery' in Guangdong Province.The whole economic development existed significant spatial correlation.In other words,counties with similar development level tended to cluster.From the perspective of local spatial autocorrelation,significant ‘high-high'type concentrated in the Pearl River Delta and significant ‘low-low'type focused on northern area.(2)In terms of the spatial pattern of industries,the spatial distribution and agglomeration characteristics of the secondary and tertiary industries were basically consistent with the overall economic development.Their high-value areas were still mainly concentrated in the Pearl River Delta.However,the primary industry represented a very different situation.Its high-value area was mainly located in the western area.Above all,the progress of the primary industry will not significantly improve the development level of county economy.The second industry will narrow the gap between counties in the process of agglomeration.But counties with higher level of the tertiary industry have weak diffusion effects on the surrounding areas.(3)From the driving mechanism of the overall economic development,the natural resources,the traffic location and the economic foundation were the main reasons for county economic difference in Guangdong Province.The degree of currency circulation and business scale had more obvious effects on the economic development of the eastern region.It was easy for the Northern area and southeastern coastal area to facilitate economic advance by improving traffic conditions and expanding bussiness scales.Moreover,the climate conditions and vegetation coverage in Pearl River Delta had limited influenced on economic development.(4)From the driving mechanism of the industry,natural geographical factors and climate conditions were the leading factors affecting the primary industry in Guangdong Province.Howere,the secondary and tertiary industries were more easily influenced by traffic,economic foundation and social development. |
