Nicrophorus have the habit of burying small animal carcasses for utilization, which has a great contribution to the material flow in the ecosystem and plays a positive role in preventing the spread of wild animal diseases. In July 2019,the number of birds distributed in the forest habitats at the Laoshan experimental station of Maoer Mountain in Northeast Forestry University was investigated, and the carcasses of different quality gradients were sampled to simulate different bird carcasses in the ecosystem.A total of 235 birds belonging to 36 species,19 families and 7 orders were found in the 10 hm2 plot. There are 90 chick carcasses samples with 5 gradients in quality of<100g,100-200g,200-300g,300-400g and>400g.To simulate the mass of the carcasses of different local birds after their deaths. The results showed that there were four species of the genus, namely,Nicrophorus concolor,Nicrophorus dauricus,Nicrophorous maculifrons and Nicrophorus nepalensis, with 63 buried corpses, accounting for 70%;Regarding the use of corpses, all the corpses dropped were used. The 4 types of burial armors were sorted in descending order of utilization,L ?>L ?>L ?>L ?.In terms of the burial time, the burial armor rate gradually decreases with the increase in the quality of the corpse, and the burial time will gradually increase.According to the average burial time, the order is as follows:T ?>T?>T?>T ?.In terms of burial of corpses,in descending order of burial contribution rate,M?>M?=M?>M?.When the mass of the corpse is below 200g,all four types of burial armor can be buried. There is an obvious competitive relationship between them. When the mass of the corpse is 200-400g,only the Nicrophorus concolor can be buried and used. When the mass of the corpse is>400g,it cannot be buried.Covered with burial armor and buried.Using the burial rate of various cover armors with different quality gradients, combined with the distribution of local birds,it was found that among the 36 species of birds distributed in the local area,33 species of birds may be buried by the cover armor, accounting for the number of local bird species.91.67%.95.40%of the corpses can be buried by the burial armor;Nicrophorus nepalensis and Nicrophorus dauricus can bury corpses with a mass of less than 200g,and the burial rates are 38.09%and 30.74%,respectively.Nicrophorus concolor has a higher contribution rate(1 8.81%)to the burial of larger corpses.Because of the small number of former Nicrophorous maculifrons, the contribution rate is only 7.76%.The burying of insects in the ecosystem takes advantage of buried bird carcasses and plays an important role in maintaining the stability of the ecosystem. The difference in the quality of the corpse used by the burial armor is the result of the combined effect of the competitiveness and the choice of survival strategy.
