Analysis Of Influencing Factors Of Water Pollution In Major Areas Of China And Research On Evaluation Of Control Performance

In recent decades,the rapid development of our country has brought convenience and more fun to our life,but at the same time,it has also brought environmental pollution problems.Among them,water pollution is one of the social problems that need to be solved in the process of economic development,and it is also one of the social hot issues concerned by economists and statisticians.Based on this,this paper focuses on the influencing factors of water pollution and the performance of water pollution control in various provinces and cities of China.Firstly,based on the statistical analysis of the influencing factors of water pollution,a semi-parametric principal component regression model is proposed and its iterative algorithm is given.Concretely,this paper selects the per capita regional gross domestic product,the proportion of secondary industry to GDP,the urbanization rate,the amount of agricultural fertilizer application,the density of urban population,the consumption level of residents in different regions,the waste water treatment fund,the sewage treatment fund and the proportion of environmental treatment investment as the influencing factors,and analyzes the panel data of 30 provinces(cities)(except Tibet)in the whole country from 2011 to 2017.Secondly,this paper uses the BCC model in the DEA and the total factor productivity index to analyze the performance of water pollution control from two angles: static and dynamic.Finally,the following empirical results are obtained:The per capita regional GDP,urbanization rate and consumption level of residents have a positive impact on wastewater discharge,and the improvement of living standards and the rapid economic development will bring more pollution.Attention should be paid to environmental protection and sustainable development.Urban population density and the amount of agricultural fertilizer applied also have a positive impact on wastewater discharge.According to the results of governance performance evaluation,for the more developed areas,water pollution control is relatively more efficient,and such as Gansu,Inner Mongolia and other economically backward,governance efficiency is also improving in recent years.On the whole,the efficiency of water pollution control in China has shown a good upward trend in recent years.Finally,according to the results,this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions for water pollution control.
