In the whole laser transmission system of the fiber laser,the wavelength of the laser,the spot radius,the Rayleigh length,the output power,the far field divergence angle,and the beam quality factor M~2 are all major factors affecting the design of the fiber laser,and these factors will also have different effects on fiber lasers in applications such as processing and cladding.How to calculate and simulate the beam output by a fiber laser in theory,and it plays a very good guiding role for the relevant technicians in the experiment,which is especially important.This paper is based on the theory of geometric optics.The ray tracing method is used to theoretically analyze the propagation in the gradient index lens(fibers),fiber and two focusing lenses of the fiber laser cutting head.The ray tracing algorithm for the propagation in optic system of the beam output from the fiber laser is established by Matlab,and the relevant parameters of the output laser are calculated.The feasibility of the algorithm is verified by the parameters of the fiber laser given in the experiment.In order to simplify the operation ways and be easy to use,this paper builds a software platform based on fiber laser beam simulation.According to the basic principle of fiber laser,the corresponding software interface is programmed to realize the calculation and graphic analysis of the laser propagation process.The ray tracing process in the lens group is compared with the simulation results of zemax,which verifies the goodness of the program operation.Similarly,combined with some data of relevant components used in the fiber laser experiment,the entire written program was tested to achieve the effect of practical application.Because it is based on the analysis of geometric optics theory,considering the complex characteristics of laser transmission process,such as nonlinear effects,mode selection and transmission loss,the paper designs the overall framework of the software,which is convenient for further improving the functions of the software being written.The design work of fiber lasers gives practical and effective technical solutions.
