| Recently, Carleton University acquired a high speed blow down wind tunnel. The tunnel was purchased from McMaster university. During its operation at McMaster, problems particularly with the pressure control system limited the wind tunnel's productivity.;This thesis describes the installation and commissioning of the wind tunnel at Carleton University. Improvements to the wind tunnel and a new pressure control system has greatly improved the operation of the tunnel. The new pressure control system provides stable and accurate pressure control throughout the operating range of the wind tunnel. In addition, increases in wind tunnel run times of over 50 percent have been obtained compared with the run times obtained at McMaster University for the equivalent operating points. |
